【Scope of application】
The relative trace resistance of solid electrical insulation materials when exposed to impurity-containing water under an electric field is measured at voltages up to 600 V. When a voltage is applied between the specified electrode devices placed on the surface of the material, and the electrolyte drips between the two electrodes at specified intervals, trace printing may occur in this test case. The number of droplets necessary to cause material failure increases with the decrease of the applied voltage, and no trace occurs below a certain limit. When the material is not traced at the highest test voltage, there can be different degrees of corrosion, and the corrosion depth can be measured.
